Project Description 122no. bedrooms including self catering suites and cottages in a luxurious 4 star country house hotel on the banks of the river Moy. Designed in 1872 by the architect James Franklin Fuller, who also designed Ashford Castle, the church at Kylemore Abbey and Farmleigh House. The ‘castle’ incorporates some of the largest & most impressive bedrooms. 26no. bedrooms have been tastefully added to the original house in the refurbishment. Formal lounges, bars, a large restaurant in the original kitchen, function room, meeting rooms and pool are also incorporated into the scheme.
Our Scheme By choosing a calm neutral interior throughout the castle and new rooms and by using the highest quality marbles, fabrics and timber, we created a tranquil hotel setting which greatly reflects the surrounding wooded estate. It was important to carry the feeling of history in the castle throughout the buildings and at the same time furnishing the castle to its former splendour.
