Title The Waterloo Pub, Dublin City Centre
Project Description A 3280 sq ft bar to the south of Dublin city centre on a long narrow site. Two bar areas with a roof terrace to the back..
Our Scheme The first part of the bar as you enter from the street was finished in a rich dark wood with the original plaster work retained on the ceiling. This area was specifically designed for the existing customers. Passing through this you enter an impressive three story space, a veritable ‘cathedral’ to drinking.. To one side there is a long painted mural depicting Baggot Street which is reflected in the large mirrored wall opposite, helping to visually increase the width of the bar. A mezzanine level where the furniture is more comfortable and incorporates an outdoor terrace designed to pull the clientele to the back of the bar. On opening, The Waterloo received the accolade of being voted Black & White ‘Pub of the year’ and still retains a loyal clientele.
